Transe Gnawa

In "Transe Gnawa", form loosens into movement, where the body seems to drift and gather at once, carried by a quiet Gnawa trance. Brushstrokes hold a rhythmic energy, echoing a repeated pulse as edges blur and structure softens, until presence becomes something felt rather than fixed. Color lingers like a trace of motion, suggesting a moment suspended between holding and letting go.

About the Artist: Abdelrahman El Fayed is a self taught artist locally known in Tangier. Most of his art work is painted on canvas or wood. The three art works selected here represent his interpretation of the human state, whether still, in contact with others or in movement (as in Transe Gnawa)
